3D Printing

Northwest Regional Library System offers 3D printing services in four library locations, Bay County Public Library in Panama City, Panama City Beach Public Library, Corinne Costin Gibson Memorial Public Library in Port St. Joe, and the Harrell Memorial Public Library in Bristol. Please check with your local branch for details about the models available. The Library’s 3D Printer Policy can be found here: http://www.nwrls.com/policies.html.

Printing Options

The public can use available printers during scheduled open lab times or by making an appointment with a trained staff member. Demos can be also scheduled for group visits. Please call the library for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Libraries will also accept .stl files to print. Please contact the specific branch for instructions. Staff cannot guarantee the turnaround time for a print job. 3D print requests will be printed in the order received, as staff time permits. Although we are happy to print files for you, customers are strongly encouraged to attend open lab sessions or make an appointment in order to have hands-on experiences using these printers. We want you to learn how to use this technology.

Please call the library if you need more information.

Filament

All library locations are using Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament. The color of filament available varies. Please contact the specific library to find out which colors are in stock. Only library filament may be used in library printers.
